Inner Wisdom & Being Queen Of The Nerds

I have, officially, embraced my inner nerdiness.

The evidence for this could be found in my MIDI class, where the lesson involved watching the trailer for the Return Of The King. This made me very happy indeed.

Through most of my first year I spent my time trying not to look like a weirdo in front of popular kids. Now I have accepted that I am a nerd. A Hufflepuff, hyperactive, frizzy haired nerd. And if you don't like it, then.

That was me doing a rude hand gesture. You can't really see it in writing. Imagine. Use your imagination.

You follow my blog, this is what you get. See? I'm encouraging you to express your emotions via creative visualisation. You don't get that in every badly written Internet blog. This blog isn't just about me realising I am Queen Of The Geeks. I'm also caring for the developement of your creative self.

Breathe deeply. Light some candles. Think about peace, love, Harry Potter, and hobbits. Those are the ingredients for a a happy life.

Oh yes, and it's my birthday the day after tomorrow. I'm hoping for a llama.

If I wasn't a vegetarian I'd really like to try sushi.

EEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHH MACARENA!

Hufflepuff, Dream Beetles and Ed Sheeran Lookalikes

It's come to my attention that you hardly ever meet somebody who is a Hufflepuff. A lot of people are mean to Hufflepuffs, but that cool because one day they'll all be savaged by honey badgers.

Anyway, Hufflepuff rocks. I can't be the only one who's noticed that the common room looks EXACTLY like a hobbit hole, can I? Or that Hufflepuffs must all look like Bumblebees since their colours are yellow and black? Say what you like about us Huffles, but I think everything about our house is incredibly cute.

My Potter obsession has developed to a level I am now DREAMING in Potterhead.

I had a horrible dream that me and two of my friends (they're a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw) were just sitting in Potions class chatting, because that's how we roll. I'd just said something particularly private and embarrassing to my Slytherin friend, when she suddenly got this horrible look of terror in her eyes; I turned round and Professor Snape was standing there staring at me.

And then my Ravenclaw buddy spilt potion all over herself and started burning and seemed to develop three extra ears that suddenly grew from the middle of her forehead and then Snape did his Hermione act where he looked at her and said "I see no difference."

I then went crazy and started yelling at Snape and you would not believe how many House Points I lost. I also got a detention. This later turned out to be pulling the legs and eyes off dead beetles. Snape seemed to find my complaints about this rather amusing.

I also happen to know that aforementioned Ravenclaw friend sometimes reads this blog.

So, Mrs 'Oops-I've-Spilt-Potion-Over-Myself-Clumsy-Me', I HOPE YOU'RE BLOODY HAPPY. I TOOK A BULLET FROM SNAPE FOR YOU. YOU OWE ME TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY THREE EFFING BEETLES THAT I HAD TO DISSECT. Dream beetles, but they were still horrible and oily and they had too many legs and if I tore the carapace on any of them I had to START ALL OVER AGAIN.

That is true friendship. You owe me big time.

In other news, there's a guy on the Apprentice who looks like Ed Sheeran's Hufflepuff brother. This observation makes me very happy.

Alan Sugar just told Ed Sheeran's Hufflepuff Brother off and now he looks as if he's going to cry. Aww.

Pointless Rambling

Well, I have the day off due to Ronald Weasley's catchphrase.

Very few of you will get that joke, if any. Nevertheless, I press on.

Debating how to spend my free time, I decided I would divide EQUALLY between getting a few more chapters written and revise for aforementioned looming Maths test. Having spent three solid hours writing, I am now taking the last ten minutes of my writing time to update this blog. MY NOVEL WILL SUFFER FOR THIS. YOU BETTER BE BLOODY GRATEFUL. *le shake fist*

Ahem.

Now I'm really quite tempted to abandon the idea of revising for my test and go watch a Harry Potter movie instead. Maybe the Philosophers Stone. Or the Half Blood Prince...

NO. I MUST REMAIN STRONG.

Maths it is. Maybe I'll be able to clear an hour later for Potter... Maybe. Hopefully. Probably.

Just my bloody luck to have a Maths test three days after my birthday.

Well, I'd better go. I'll put a longer, more interesting blog up later, if I have the time.

Till then, over and out.

Apologies & Artwork

Hello? Is anybody still out there? I know its been a while. Im not sure if anybody reads this any more. If you are still out there, readers, you are immensely loyal. I thank you. *wise nodding*

Sorry for how long its been since an last updated; my excuses could be numerous, but frankly I see no need to mention the looming maths exam, being forced to sleep in a dog bed, or going on holiday in search of vampires.

No. No need to mention any of these things.

In fact, several of them are still there. That maths exam, for instance, is still looming. In fact, I should be studying right now. My parents have been left with the distinct impression that right now, I AM studying.

Blog update? What blog update? I don't see a blog update.

So, very little has changed in my life.

I am still beating muse over the head with a rusty pole, struggling between writing a story/novel that needs my attention, a fan fiction I've been dying to write, and boring old schoolwork.

(By the way, I desperately need Beta readers for aforementioned fan fiction. I already have one, who I cannot thank enough for bravely volunteering to be harassed by my awful writing. Cheers, Callum, I appreciate it.)

So, onto the true nature of this blog update: artwork.

Much has been scribbled and shared of DeviantArt, and I feel guilty for neglecting you. Or maybe you're glad of being spared from my awful drawing. I don't know. Either way, if you don't care about art then I suggest you look away now, since I will be sharing.

The Hound

Okay, first off, this pic. Those who have read A Game Of Thrones may recognise it as The Hound, or Sandor Clegane. I cannot draw people, so I took his name at face value and carnated him as his namesake. I know, he's a messed up, vicious character, but I ALWAYS fall for the messed up, vicious characters. And I've grown quite fond of the Hound.

Death's Fang- A Dance Around The Memory Tree

okay, I do not own this character. All rights for his design, etc, go to my friend Alli. I just drew this as a gift, if you will.

Death's Fang & Torment- Please, Please, Please

Okay, Death's Fang again. Once more, he IS NOT MINE. Torment, the white wolfess, is. I could tell you the whole story of this picture, but I suspect you don't care. So I will merely say- the fangs are because they are both vampires.

And, finally-

Hello, Darkness, My Old Friend

Okay, I saved the best till last, because I really liked how this picture turned out. The wolf is called Tenebrae, and she is also my character.

Well, that's all, folks. Please tell me what you think, and once again sorry for abandoning you. I'll try to keep this blog more active in future. Cheers, feedback would as ever be greatly appreciated X

Kayaks and other water related articles.

So, I finally got my kayak. It's orange, and has a picture of a pyrana on it. I've called it Molly. I chose this name because Molly sounds like somebody you can rely on. Also, the kayak is ginger like Molly Weasleys hair. I hope both of these things hold true.

So, I'm heading out for my first kayaking trip today. If I don't post on this blog later, you'll know that I have drowned tragically. Doubtless you will all travel hundreds of miles to come and place flowers and weep by the side of my watery grave.

In other news, I drew a picture.

This Weeks Artwork....

Well, this week I downloaded an app called Sketch a club onto my iPad. I was a bit dubious about drawing on it, but surprisingly it's quite good and easy to draw on- what with my scanner having suffered a sudden and bruta death, digital art is the only kind I can upload right now...

Okay, first I tried my hand at a Japanese Crane.

The words are all from Florence + the machine's latest album, Ceremonials.

Next, I drew a sea cow. (Don't ask why.)

After that, I attempted Herne.

And finally, an illustration of a scene in Terry Pratchett's book, I Shall Wear Midnight. An old story says 'the hare runs into the fire. The fire, it takes her, she is not burned....'

I would love feedback on all these pictures- comment and let me know what you think. Any ideas for themes of pictures would also be awesome.

Stay joyous. :)

Off to parents Evening.

Which should be full of joy and happiness and possibly dancing unicorns. There is no point to this meeting, I can always predict what they're going to say about me. Because it's always the same.

They use lots of teacher speak, but what they always mean is the same. Blah blah blah, needs to shut up more, blah blah blah.

Oh, and as if that wasn't enough, a scary smelly music teacher overheard me calling him a bitch today. Awkward much. To be fair, I was defending my friend, who he's been ignoring. I didn't know he'd be right there- serves him right for creeping up on people.

No need to feel guilty. No need at all, right? Right?!

My friend seemed very upset about him ignoring her. Why? Does she fancy him?

Also, my seat in music had blood on it. Actual blood, for christs sake.

Okay, I need to go get ready for parents evening,(yay?) so I'm off for now.
